The case of the state of Georgia

You may have noticed a rather serious upheaval that has emerged in recent weeks in the state of Georgia. Its government has introduced a law (similar versions exist both in the US and in Russia) that requires any NGOs operating within Georgia’s territory and funded by 20% or more from foreign sources to declare this and be classified as “foreign agents,” with the corresponding restrictions on their activities. This law (which was approved by the parliament…) has caused something akin to a “color revolution”: the opposition’s accusation against the government is that (with this law) it is “falling into Moscow’s embrace” and “abandoning its pro-Western orientation”…

Indeed, this appears to be happening, and those who “invested” in Tbilisi as an advanced anti-Russian outpost (Washington, the EU…) will lose. However, from what it looks like, they will lose dangerously much. Because Washington, certain of Tbilisi’s loyalty, had built the Lugar biological laboratory near the city’s airport, the largest center for biological warfare research in the broader region, staffed by specialists from the American military.

Officials from the Typhlida have already begun providing Moscow with data and evidence regarding the research being conducted / being carried out at Lugar. And this is… hmm… very bad (for Washington)…
