Do you think that the “internet of bodies” is a fantastic and far-fetched idea-for-the-future? You’re wrong! Look at how many hands wear smart watches: they record various kinds of personal “body-type” data, and of course they are internet devices that feed various servers, whether the “wearers” (not so smart themselves!) realize it or not. The internet of bodies is therefore already here; and naturally it has great potential for extensions.
What then is the “internet of brains” which the well-known American RAND considers, neither a little nor much, an upcoming extension of the “internet of bodies”? The descriptions seem futuristic: “direct intellectual communication through networking.” But it is much closer than you think! If, for example, some users of the vision pro (or any other such machine that produces illusions) can exchange, in real time, visual or auditory stimuli, wouldn’t it be as if they were communicating “brain-to-brain”? (To exchange thoughts in the same way, they might need some implants, like those sold by Mr. Elon. Many are already ready and willing for this too…)
The “cheeselets” are ready, or almost. The beans are invisible! All these technical, digital, “intelligent” mechanical intermediations are under constant control; either in real time or retroactively (practically both ways). Control of companies, control of states. Just remember that “tracking” during the hygiene terror campaign: that was the internet of bodies too! It may not have succeeded in the West, but the cause was only technological inability; not lack of willingness (and discipline).
Finally, remember the “biometric data”. Also a version of the internet of bodies, which is now established as the “new normality”…
