Collapse of the relationship

It could be something from “the strange world.” It doesn’t seem to be a social trend with majority prospects yet. Or, at least, Akihido Kondo is a pioneer within a religious/ideological current (Shintoism) that could be considered animistic since it recognizes life even in inanimate objects.

Knodo married in 2018 a holographic copy of the virtual Japanese star Hatsune Miku, with whom he had been in love since childhood. It was an impressive ceremony that cost him $17,300: the “bride” (the hologram) was three-dimensional but very small in size, enclosed inside a glass cylinder. This cylinder is a hologram creation device called Gatebox.

But the idyll from his side did not take into account the company, which stopped supporting the specific application. And so one evening, returning home, Kondo did not hear the digital “welcome” from his heart’s hologram, but a dry network error…

We don’t know what the future holds. Kondo, however, belongs to a (for now?) marginal group called “fictosexuals”. Obviously, they too have rights – and companies should ensure they remain consistent with their obligations.

After all, in times of widespread infectious diseases, relationships with holograms are perfectly antiseptic…
