Mutated forests

The idea is relatively old: our forests have a problem, natural trees are problematic, so let’s replace them with genetically engineered…

What problem did the watchful eye of biotechnologists detect in the forests? Are they getting sick? Perhaps… Are they burning? Certainly in certain geographical latitudes, but this is renewal and refreshing… Nature by itself is no longer enough, nature by itself can no longer be the dogma that has been circulating among specialists and psychopathic fanatics for years; it is quickly becoming mainstream. The “incompetent” nature, the nature “that has reached its limits and can no longer evolve in time” certainly includes our species. Perhaps mainly this one, since its continuous growth will create the new dynamic market.

What forests should the planet therefore acquire? Fire-resistant ones, certainly. Strong, so they don’t get sick except by design – also.

Is this science fiction? Don’t say it! Forests of genetically modified eucalyptus are already being cultivated in various parts of the planet. Because eucalyptus is the main source of timber/cellulose from which paper pulp is produced (paper production), and despite the reputation that digital processes will reduce paper usage, the modified cultivated varieties have advantages: they grow faster, the trunks become thicker…

Perhaps other genetically modified species are sold for the (political and economic) needs of rapid reforestation after fires. The “image” to be restored quickly, even if it ultimately proves destructive. If you hear something like this happening in our areas too, you won’t be “crazy” – it’s a trend…
