What could this be that appears in the photograph? The reception at a high-tech hotel perhaps? Or maybe at an electronics store? Could it perhaps be the passenger service desk at some airport?
All these things are coming soon; and provided they are accepted by the “consumer public”. This particular image, however, is what some people would see, with hope and surprise, trying to rob a bank… Not this one though! The first “human free” branch of the “bank of constructions” recently opened in Sanghay; and the only human presence is that of its customers.
Certainly it would be considered questionable, wouldn’t it? When, however, the cashiers and bank tellers were replaced by ATMs, was the development less questionable? Nevertheless, it proved practical. So much so that it’s now commonplace… And somewhat amusing: a man in front of an ATM and the same man in front of an embedded urinal don’t differ (in terms of body posture)…
The excuse will always be “there is money”. With or without bankers….
