Everything is a lie…

If you had any anxiety (and why wouldn’t you?), some anguish about what is happening with the Universe (at least that which cosmologists and astrologers swear is “existent”), then the latest news is rather unpleasant. A recent study (June 6, 2017) proposed (to the American astronomical society) an image of the World as mold. And (worse still) it placed our galaxy (the “us” is of course figurative..) in one of the holes of this fibrous structure; where the fibers are of course other galaxies, more compact.

And why does this theory matter? For astronomers it does: it tries to explain why different techniques they use to measure the expansion of the universe give different results. Don’t worry, says the theory, let’s call it that, of cosmic decomposition: this is due to the fact that all our measurements are made from within the hole. It sounds right. If you’re inside the hole, you can’t make sense of things…

We won’t hide it: we were somewhat relieved. What remains is the question, which could even be considered anti-scientific: why are these studies and these sciences still being funded? We can formulate similar beliefs entirely for free. E.g.: the world is like an oyster. (And don’t ask what it is from the outside…)
