It is unknown what boost the technology / industry of digital sexual intermediaries will receive from the “digital skin” that some technicians are preparing, but it is reasonable that such an invention will not go to waste.
According to a publication in the journal Science last October, the problem that engineers tend to solve is the transmission of appropriate intensities/messages from the “fingers” of artificial arms to the human brain. Or to the electronic one. They are focusing on the construction and use of microscopic piezoelectric sensors, in the form of a “surface”, which will be designed in such a way that the speed of transmission of electrical signals will be proportional to the pressure applied to them. The research (and the proposed solutions) also relate to the materials that will be used, so that they are elastic.
As is usually the case, the official orientation of the digital skin is humanitarian: in the prosthetics of limbs in cases of amputations.
The world hasn’t been lost, however, if some gloves (with such sensors) are released for cyber-sex purposes. Right?
