Cage (safety)

In 2016, the well-known Amazon patented what is shown in the photo: a narrow cage on wheels, controlled from inside, equipped with a robotic arm.

Amazon has not yet implemented its patent. But why did it want it in the first place? According to the patent application, it concerns a “protected personnel-transport system for work in areas full of other robots”…

Do Amazon’s massive warehouses have disobedient, dangerous robots? And if so, why don’t they fix them? Could there be concerns about “malfunctions” in their operation? Could this be about the shielding of “special operations” for the neutralization of malfunctioning robotic machines?

It will become clear – when Amazon sells its patent. In the meantime, amusing or disturbing thoughts are bound to arise.

For example: is it a design for chicken coops that will put the eggs in the basket by themselves?
