Two separate teams of technoscientists, both funded by the American Pentagon, recently announced that they have (experimentally) achieved quantum teleportation. These are programs of the well-known DARPA, one in China and the other in Canada.
Quantum teleportation is NOT teleportation of matter; it is of information. The specific experiments aimed to transfer the “state information” of a quantum element to another one located far away, without any physical connection (or physical material or phenomenon) between them. The transfer (which was a “shooting” of photons) took place through optical fibers and covered a distance of several kilometers under urban conditions.
The distance of the quantum teleportation is still shorter than a teleportation experiment conducted in 2012 by Austrian techno-scientists, covering a distance of 143 km between two of the Canary Islands. But at that time, lasers were used, which are not considered reliable for military use due to the influence of environmental factors.
According to the triumphant announcement by DARPA, the goal of the quantum teleportation research is to protect the information of the U.S. military from hostile hackers…
