If those little green men with antennas exist, they don’t come from Mars. Unless they once lived there, but messed it up and left. The robotic rover Curiosity (literally: curiosity) of the American NASA discovered (according to its operators) complex macromolecular organic matter — in the crater it’s rummaging through. If the Earth-based analysis of the findings on Mars is valid, it still doesn’t confirm that life ever existed there. (Trash, maybe?) It simply reinforces the view that microbes were once present (apparently they ended up on Mars to escape some generalized hygienic attack somewhere else…)
And while the issue remains open, it’s something else that impresses us. The photo above is by Curiosity… And it’s a selfie!!! (No selfie stick! What trick does the little machine pull?)
Maybe (we say “maybe”) should bad human habits not be advertised in the solar system? Let NASA reflect on its responsibilities and take them on. We, in the position of complex macromolecular organic matter, might get cross at the visitor’s shopping spree…
