What might be the reason behind the “tolerance” of Western states towards the massacre in Gaza? What might be the reason behind this silent complicity in its “techno-scientific” methodology, even when it is revealed in every detail?
Geopolitical, imperialist reasons? Certainly. There is, however, something else as well: the theonazi, apartheid regime and specifically the barbarity of its occupation have constituted for decades the “laboratory” for weapons systems and surveillance systems which, after being tested there, are purchased (also) by western oligarchies.
This lesser-known utility of the theonazi regime seems to be confirmed again in recent months. In September 2023, the EU launched funding for a research program on the “relationship between humans and artificial intelligence”… IBM is also participating in this program.
This particular company has a subsidiary in the Gaza Strip and a known collaboration with the Israeli army. We don’t have concrete evidence that its technicians are directly involved in AI-enabled extermination, but what else could they be doing there if they want bonuses and promotions? Not praying, surely!
