One of the most recent “achievements” of geneticists is the construction, through synthetic biology, of “mirror” biological molecules, such as “mirror” proteins or peptides. What is this about?
In all existing life forms on the planet, from the simplest bacterium to the most complex plants or animals (including our own species), proteins are always left-handed and DNA is always right-handed. Biotechnologists do not know why this happens, but they do know something else: that the same proteins and the same DNA could exist in reverse, with exactly the same composition otherwise.
There is no naturally occurring right-handed protein or/and left-handed DNA on the planet. It is an absolutely alien structure. However, this is not an obstacle for genetic engineers! They have already begun to create these non-existent species in laboratories; and to “test” them. The advantage of this “symmetrical life”? It cannot be recognized by organisms (for example by immune systems…) And as (should already be) known (from the shocking experience of mRNA platforms hacking the immune system) anything that can be introduced “invisibly” into any organism is now considered not only a techno-scientific achievement but also a… therapeutic necessity!…
At this moment, the construction of “symmetrical ribosomes” is imminent. These will produce not the normal proteins but the “symmetrical” ones, which are unknown and alien to life on the planet, and whose biological behavior is also completely unknown.
